Alan Harvey Brown was born in Ogden, Utah on January 5th, 1930 and passed away peacefully in Merced, California, on February 6th, 2013.


He is survived by his loving wife, Joy of sixty-three years (nee Larsen) of Atwater; two sons, Kerry and Kevin and daughter-in-law, Therese, all from the Bay Area; brother, Dick of Ogden; and many nieces and nephews.


Alan was predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Faye Brown and brother, Dale, all of Ogden, Utah.


Alan had a very successful twenyt-seven year career in the USAF and retired as a Chief Master Sargent at Castle Air Force Base. He then went on to be a sales manager at Sears in Merced and after finally retiring spent many years traveling the world with his wife Joy. In later years he enjoyed socializing with the Chiefs Group. Everyone in the neighborhood knew Alan and his little dog, Cindy.


A memorial service will be held at Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home, 3050 Winton Way in Atwater on Wednesday, February 13th at 10:30am
