She was married about 1917 to Samuel Augustine "Sam" Nichols (1883–1972), and he was the son of James Caleb Nichols (1842–1962) and Julia Ann (Elliott) Nichols (1843–1917).
Estelle was 50 years old when she died in Clarksville Hospital on June 2, 1940, and burial was the next day in Nichols Cemetery at Adams, Tennessee, Rural Route 2.
