She was united in marriage to Frank Matejka February 18, 1895, and to this union were born seven children, four sons, and three daughters.
They lived on a farm south of Burress for five years, then moved to Bluff City, Kas., for one year. They then moved to a farm town and one-half miles south of Milligan. In the spring of 1906, they moved to a farm northeast of Tobias, and from there in 1911, they moved to a farm three miles south of Milligan, where they farmed until 1932. That year they retired and moved to Tobias. In 1942, they moved back to the farm, but in 1945, they moved to Milligan.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, Frank Matejka; three daughters, Mary, at home; Agnes, Ella (Mrs. William Krejdl); two sons, John and Edward, who was unable to be present, one sister Mary (Mrs. Anton Sladek); three brothers Albert, Frank, and John Zelenka; and two grandchildren, Marilyn Matejka and Betty Matejka (Mrs. Dean McMullen).
Her parents and three sisters Josephine, Ludmia, and Justina; and one brother, Emil, and tow sons preceded her in death.
