She was the wife of J. Vincent Markley, Jr., who died September 23, 1995.
Born March 20, 1930, in East Greenville, PA, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Florence B. (Althouse) Smith.
Sarah was a graduate of East Greenville High School.
She was employed as a secretary with Rosedale U.C.C., Laureldale, for over 15 years, where she was also a very active member.
Sarah enjoyed playing cards, watching deer and most of all, caring for her family. She loved her dogs, Nicky, Chris and Pip.
Surviving is her granddaughter, Brittany S. (Schaeffer) Servas and her great granddaughter, Anna C. Servas.
Also surviving is her brother, Donald R. Smith of Massachusetts.
Sarah was predeceased by her daughter, Janet L. (Markley) Schaeffer who died March 3, 2001 and three siblings: Harold A. Smith, Rolland R. Smith and Charlotte M. Zackey.
