Emilia was born in the small (4 building) village of Überkehr near Schwarzenbach am Wald in the Frankenwald region of the District of Hof in Oberfranken, Bavaria. She was christened on 1 Apr 1748. As a young maid she found a large quantity of silver coins while herding cattle near some old castle ruins. She married a citizen of Stadt Hof, Herr Fischer, on 1778 and died in Hof.
