Gordon K. Anderson, 88, Olathe, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Santa Marta, Olathe, KS. Gordy was born May 6, 1925 in Primghar, IA to Walter and Betty Marie (Flint) Anderson. He was a 1942 graduate of Primghar High School. Gordy was a veteran of the Army Air Corp during WWII. Following his service time, Gordy attended Iowa State College, receiving his BS degree in Forestry in 1950. That same year he began work with the US Forest Service. He worked with Northern Natural Gas from 1952- 1984. Gordy was a 50 year member of the Masonic Order, Rising Star Lodge No. 496 A.F.&A.M. Primghar, IA. Gordy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James R. Anderson, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Anderson; three children, Jason F. Anderson, Lenexa, KS, Eric G. Anderson, Heath, TX and Lisa M. Anderson Linnebur, Prairie Village, KS; two granddaughters, Hannah Anderson and Grace Anderson, Heath, TX; niece, Gina Brickman, Atlanta, GA and nephew, James R. Anderson, Jr., Overland Park, KS. Cremation. Burial in Primghar Cemetery, Primghar, IA.
