He was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was the son of Fred Lee Brown and Louise White Brown of Candler, North Carolina. He worked at Cordell Body Shop.
In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife, Sharon Harris Brown; one daughter, Tracey Leigh Brown of the home; and one son, Charles Mitchell Brown, of thee home; and one sister, Janice Quinzi of Candler'
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler, North Carolina. The Rev. Ralph Lepley officiated.
Wells Funeral Home in Canton handled the arrangements.
