KENNETH L. SMRZ

GALESBURG - Kenneth L. Smrz, 63, of 1248 N. Cherry St. died at 10:25 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

Born Feb. 18, 1936, in Oak Park to George and Emily Braje Smrz, he married Carole A. Wilson on Oct. 26, 1957, in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa Smrz of Alexandria, Va., and Aimee Burstein of Brookline, Mass.

He was a warehouseman for Brown Specialty for 31 years. He also worked as a part-time clerk at Big 10 Liquor Store.

He attended Knox College.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg and served as coach of its Kitten Ball Team for three years. He also was a member of Theta Pi fraternity.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be from ***1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the family home, 1248 N. Cherry St. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church or to Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
