Connie M. Acosta, 91, of La Marque, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 17, at St. Michaels Episcopal Church in La Marque, with Father Robert Flick officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 6 p.m.until 9 p.m. Friday at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mrs. Acosta was born June 12, 1914, in Texas City, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Mainland Lodge 2141 and former member of the Western Bells.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Noel Acosta.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie Mraz and husband, Freddie, Joycelyn Burns and Evelyn Ennis; 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Connie's caregivers, Freda, JoAnn, Beulah and Bernadine for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Burns Hospital, 815 Market St., Galveston, Texas 77550-9969.
