Cecil was born on August 22, 1938 in Conroe, Texas to Albert Leonard Overbay and Lola Faye Gardner Overbay. He entered into rest on June 19, 2013. He is preceded in death by wife, Melba Dean Stutts Overbay, parents Albert Leonard and Lola Faye Overbay, and niece Kelly Mock Phillips.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, husband and friend. He was a life-long member of Montgomery Lodge #25 AF&AM Masonic, past Worshipful Master. He also served OES #228 as past Worthy Patron with wife Melba serving as Worthy Matron. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
He is survived by children - Wayne Overbay and wife, Carmen; Cindy Overbay; Cathy Overbay Wright and husband, Stacy; and Wade (Pete) Overbay. Grandchildren, Justin Overbay and wife, Esther; Britni Overbay; Joshua Wright; Jerid Wright; Emmanuel Cecil Overbay, Alex Overbay & Great Granddaughter-Allyssa Overbay. Brother-in-law Gene Overbay and wife, Linda; Sister-in-law Sharon Overbay Mock and husband, Mickey; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
