Daughter of the late George D Barbour and Emma Jackson Barbour of Pittsylvania County, VA.

Predeceased by three sisters, Zada B. Matthews, Shirley B. Rogers and Clara B. Adkins; and two brothers, G. D. Barbour, Jr. and W. Kyle Barbour.
Survived by a sister, two brothers, a grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

A self-taught pianist, Mrs. Barksdale played piano for her Sunday school department for many years and also sung in the choir at Chestnut Hill UMC. She was active in many other church programs and was a talented seamstress. She retired from General Electric with 23 years of service.
