He was the son of the late George W and Lula Kirby States. He is survived by his wife, Annabell P. States, a brother John States, Barclay; and three sisters, Emily Sanders, Baltimore; Lula Meekings and Clara Crew, both of Chestertown. Funeral services were 1pm Sat. at Willis Wells Funeral Home, Chestertown. Bearers were Butch Crew, David Crew, Albert Parson, Willie Parson, Edwin Sanders and Richard Wheat. Interment was in Chester Cem.
