Carl A. 'Swede' Anderson Sr.

SANTA FE - Mr. Carl A. "Swede" Anderson Sr. passed from this life Tuesday morning at his residence.

Born May 26,1913, in Georgetown. Texas, Mr. Anderson had been a lifetime resident of Galveston County. He retired in 1975, as a chief operator with Amoco Oil, after 40 years of service and was a member of the "Lutheran faith.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Marie Anderson.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Andrew and Cheryl Anderson, Jr., Dickinson, Carl Thomas and Trish Anderson, Santa Fe; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Marie and John Lane, Inverness, Florida; grandchildren, Nicole Chance and her husband, Kevin and Christopher Anderson all of Santa Fe, and John Lane Jr., Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Reverend Dale Chance officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be David Brown, Anthony Cargile, Arthur Carpenter, III, Kent Delany, Dennis Hyatt, Richie Pearson, Mike Trisko and Albert Winwood. Honorary casketbearers will be Christopher Anderson, Claude Baldree, Harlan Brown, Kevin Chance, John Lane, Jr., Gerald Nordin, Rusty Norman and Bobby Wright.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, 925-3501.

Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to Santa Fe Fire and Rescue, Post Office Box 99, Santa Fe, Texas 77510 or Hospice of Galveston County, 1708 Amburn Suite C, Texas City, Texas 77591-2436.
