"MISS DORTHOY WILCOX AND WALLACE HAMMOND MARRIED LAST NIGHT.

A very pretty wedding was solemnized last evening when Miss Dorothy Frances Wilcox became the bride of William Wallace Hammond at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Wilcox on North Center street. The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. S. Ashton at 6:30 o'clock in the presence of the immediate families. ... Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served with covers laid for six. Later Mr. and Mrs. Hammond left for New York and Philadelphia, and upon their return to this city will reside on West Frederick street. Both are popular young people of this city and have many friends who extend hearty congratulations."

"Mrs Dorothy Wilcox Hammond, ... West Frederick street, died last night at the Corry Memorial Hospital where she had been admitted earlier in the day. She was born Jan 14, 1896, in Corry and had spent most of her life in the area. She graduated from Corry High School in 1914 and graduated in 1916 from Indiana Nnormal School [Indiana University of Pennsylvania]. She was a school teacher in New Jersey, North East and Corry. Her husband, W Wallace Hammond, Sr, whom she married November 27, 1922, preceded her in death July 3, 1982. She lived at her present home since her marriage. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, the Lillian Guild at the church, Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Corry Country Club Bridge Association, American Legion Auxiliary, a charter member of the Historical Society and during World War II, was very active with the Red Cross. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs Nancy Tuck of Clymer, New York, a son ..., six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
No visitation hours will be observed. Friends may attend a funeral service at the Bracken Funeral Home on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev ..., pastor of the Grace Episcopal Church of Ridgway, officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery..."
