GALVESTON- Amelia Gallegos Arzola, 81, died Sunday, February 18, 2001. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Carries Brothers Funeral Home, Galveston, Texas, with the Rev. Manuel DeLaCerda officiating. Graveside services will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Arzola was born March 28,1919, in Waelder, Texas, to Matego and Rosario Martinez Gallegos'. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother, dedicating her life to the cafe of her family and friends. She was a member of Zion Methodist Church of Galveston.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband of 46 years, Jose Alvarez Arzola,

Mrs. Arzola is survived by her daughters, Dora Henry and husband Harry, of Nashotah, Wisconsin, and Esther Espritt and husband, Joseph, of Richmond, Texas; sons, Israel Bustos Sr. and wife, Nena, of Galveston and Raul Bustos Sr. and wife, Annie of La Marque; nine grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren; sisters, Antonia Pena and Hortencia Tello both of Alvin; several neices, nephews other relatives and many, many friends.

Pallbearers will be Israel Bustos Jr., Rudy Bustos Jr.,
Robert J. Henry, Jeff Connelley, and other family members.
