He served in the Army Air Force During World War II. He Worked with Air Plane Metal Craft. He also worked on the planes that dropped the Atomic Bomb on Japan and ended world war II. Joe fell from a plane that he was working on and injured his back and received a Discharge.

Joe and his brothers as children worked the family farm in Tenn. The brothers enjoyed their visits to their Great. Grand Father's home place. Grand Pa John Wesley James was a Civil War Veteran and at times very hard to deal with. Great Grand-pa's wife wanted him to move to town where he could have better care, but he would have nothing to do with it. The family decided to be the KKK and scare Pap to town by shooting guns in the air and jumping the rock wall on horseback. When they started it up that night, the old Man reach for his pistol and was going to shoot it out. His wife got the gun from him, the fight was over. He was moved to town. But, Joe's father (John Boston) would tell the boys when they got into things, that the James Blood made them act that way. Pap James was related to Jesse & Frank James.

Thank you in advance to all that leave flowers on our Uncle they mean a lot to us.
