OBIT: Mrs. Ann Davis widow of the late William J. Davis, died suddenly on Sunday evening at her home near Prospect. She went into the yard to look after some young chickens, and not returning in due time one of the family went in search of her and found her lying close to the gate. Her life was so nearly extinct that she merely gasped once or twice after she was found. Dr. Arthur was called and attributed her death to heart trouble. Mrs. Davis was about 74 years of age. She leaves one son, Mr. Elisha Davis, of Prospect, and four daughters, Mrs. Robert Fulton, of Bryansville, PA; Mrs. Daniel W. Bay, of Whiteford; Mrs. J. Duncan Almony, of Taylor, and Miss Virginia Davis. She was buried on Wednesday at Slateville Presbyterian Church, Rev. K.J. Steward conducting the services.
