Funeral service for Flossie Marie Abla, 86, of Lawton, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home with her great nephew Rev. Craig Abla, of Sulphur, Oklahoma, officiating.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Abla passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Flossie was born on November 4, 1926 in Delhi, Oklahoma to Cecil E. and Fronie V. (Keith) Robison. She grew up in Eric, Oklahoma where she attended school. Flossie married Vernie Ray Abla on April 19, 1942 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1947 where they raised their family. Flossie was a nurturing mother where she help raise five generations of her family. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Mrs. Abla enjoyed playing table games that included a nightly game of dominoes with her husband. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed watching the Washington Red Skins and Texas Rangers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years and 3 months, Vernie Ray Abla, of the home; her children and their spouses, Vernie Wayne and Brigetta Abla, of Telford, Tennessee, Steve and Lynn Abla, of Rio Racho, New Mexico, and Debra Son, of Duncan, Oklahoma; her brother, Cecil Robison and his wife, Sandy, of Sugar Land, Texas; her 3 granddaughters she raised, Jennifer Carr, of Marlow, Oklahoma, Jacqueline Sutton, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Kristi Sutton, of Elgin, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Christopher Abla, Kelly Abla, Kimberly Abla, Jamie Abla, Stevie Abla II, Wendi Brousseau, Jeffrey Abla, Tonya Harris, Cody Son, and Brandi Ortiz; 28 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and her nephews and nieces, Brian Robison, of Jacksonville, Texas, Karen Robison and Nikki Robison, both of Lawton, and Michael Robison of California; and a host of loving friends.

Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jackie Dee Abla, daughter, Donna Rae Sutton, brother, Elmer Dee Robison, and granddaughter, Tammy Machielle Abla.
