Methodist Temperance Board Secretary To Be Buried in Eufaula

Clayton, Ala. - Dr. Eugene Lowther Crawford, secretary of the Board of Temperance and Social Service of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, died Saturday at New Castle, Delaware. Services will be Tuesday at the home of a sister, Mrs. J.S. Williams of Clayton, Alabama. The services will then be followed by the reading of the last rites at the First Methodist Church in Eufaula. Burial will follow in Eufaula.
Dr. Crawford was living in Washington at the time of his death. He was a member of the Alabama Methodist Conference for 40 years and was secretary at the time of his death. He was born in Glennville, Alabama and was the eldest son of the Rev. Robert Blakely Crawford and Martha Stephenson Crawford. He married Martha Thorington of Tuscaloosa in 1901.
Survivors:
Three daughters: Miss Martha Crawford of Washington; Mrs. Euene Robins of Newark, N.J.; Mrs. Alex Waller of Greensboro, Ala.
In 1914, his second marriage was to Mrs. Sudie McIntyre Harrison of Enterprise. She survives him as does his sister, Mrs. J.S. Williams of Clayton.
