Helen Nix Lynn, age 93, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 at her residence.
Born December 24, 1919, in Owen County she was the daughter of the late Dave and Amanda Payton Nix and the widow of Cleveland W. "Tennie" Lynn. Also preceding her in death were her son, Jim Lynn, her brothers, Laurel and Marvin Nix and her sister, Mayme Dunavent. Mrs. Lynn was retired from Owen Electric as an office manager and was a member of the Owenton First Christian Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Pat (Buck) Beverly; five grandchildren, Robin Cobb, Jimi Sue Wodrig, Teena Johnson, Mary Helen Lynn and Dotey Ann Lynn and five great grandchildren, Grant, Lincoln, Noah, Carter and Ethan
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, June 26th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am at the Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Guy presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owenton First Christian Church.
