Thomas N. Pierce, 83, Bedford, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Mr. Pierce, a retired cabinet maker, was a ember of the Carpenter's Union. A son of Samuel and Ida Allen(Skeen)Pierce, he was born Sept. 25, 1901, in Bedford, He was married to Carrie Poe, who preceded him in death. Suvviving are a son, Thomas L. Pierce, Fla.; three grandchildren including Jack Scott, Shelbyville; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Day and Carter Mortuary, Bedford. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Miller Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Tursday at the mortuary. Local arrangements are being handled by Murphy mortuary.
