Edna Rebecca "Becky" Gaul, entered into eternal rest July 3 in Palmetto, FL.

She was the daughter of the late Roy and Edna Ziegler Zinn.

Mrs. Gaul was a 1939 graduate of Gettysburg High School. During World War II, she worked as a civilian inspector for the U.S. Signal Corps. Mrs. Gaul was the first woman elected to the Gettysburg Borough Council in 1959. She was past president of Adams County Council of Republican Women and the Gettysburg High School Alumni Association. Mrs. Gaul was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the organizing Regent of Tohickon Chapter of DAR at Quakertown. In 1965, she relocated from Gettysburg to Stowe, VT, where she participated in many community activities. Mrs. Gaul was involved in various church and civic choirs throughout Vermont. For six years, she was co-president and treasurer of the Vermont Green Mount Chapter of the Older Women's League (Owl) in Burlington, VT.
In the early 20th Century, the Zinn family leased the Hotel Gettysburg, noted on the hotel's memorial plaque.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Herbert Gaul, who departed this life in 1979, and is survived by one son, David and four grandchildren.
