Mrs. Fred Arnold
Mrs. Etta M. Arnold, 75, formerly of 1118 S. Seventh Street, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nicholson Convalescent Home where she had been a patient for the past year and a half.
Born in Kosciusko County March 16, 1898, a daughter of Jesse and Rosa Smith, Mrs. Arnold lived most of her life in Goshen. On Oct. 18, 1919, she married Fred E. Arnold and he died Dec. 5, 1958.
Mrs. Arnold was a member of the First Church of God, the American Legion Auxiliary, Barracks of World War I and the World War II Mothers.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Jack G. (Mary Etta) Cripe; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. William Foster, Criderville, Ohio. A son, Earl Arnold, died in 1955 and three sisters and four brothers have also preceded Mrs. Arnold in death.
Friends may call at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral services conducted by Dr. Andrew Hardie will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery. Memorials to Mrs. Arnold may be made to the First Church of God building fund.
