Funeral Services Held For Miss Lucy Martin

Miss Lucy Frances Martin, 19, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T[homas] Calvin Martin, and a well known Martinsville young woman died suddenly in Shackelford hospital early Saturday night, following an appendicitis operation.

Funeral services were held from the parental home on Jones Creek Monday with Dr. J. P. McCabe, of the First Baptist Church here, and Rev. J. W. Wade, of Ferrum, in charge. The remains were then carried to the family burial plot near Henry for interment.

Surviving besides her parents are the following brothers and sisters: C[laude] B[enton] Martin, of Roanoke, M[ilton] I[rvin] Martin, of Henry, J[ames] E[mmett] Martin, of Lynchburg, S[kelton] E[uell] Martin, of Danville, [Calvin] Woodrow Martin, of Reidsville, [Thomas] Elton Martin, this city; Mrs. J[ames] M[ack] Ingram, Mrs. Claude Minter and Miss Duluth Martin, all of this city.
