Thelma Boedigheimer, 85, Perham, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, in Perham Memorial Nursing Home.

Thelma Haapala was born April 26, 1917, in Armourdale, N.D. The family moved to Strawberry Lake, near Detroit Lakes, Minn., where she grew up and attended school. She later worked at a café in New York Mills, Minn. She married Leonard A. Boedigheimer Jan. 24, 1938, in Perham, where they made their home with the exception of one year in Minneapolis. She worked for many years as a seamstress, specializing in draperies.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Don, Coon Rapids, Minn., Jerry (Mary), Fridley, Minn., Pete (Julie), West Fargo; three daughters, Sister Ruth, OSB, St. Joseph, Minn., Peg (Ted) Riddering, Barnesville, Minn., Paula (Ron) Beckman, Cameron, Wisc.; two brothers; two sisters; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4-8, with a prayer service at 7, in Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham.
Funeral: Thursday at 11 in St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham.
Burial: St. Henry's Catholic Church Cemetery, Perham.
