Harvey O. Wofford, 86, formerly of 110 Marion St., widower of Mildred Naomi Cooper Wofford, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at National Health Care. Born in Landrum, he was the son of the late Otis O. and Corrie Belue Wofford. He was retired from Torrington Co., was a member of Bellview Baptist Church, was a Mason and was a member of Rossie Walker Lodge 154. Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Griffis, and husband, Klaus, of Laurens, and Jean Miller, and husband, Walton, of Belton; two grandchildren, Jackie Lindley and Johnny Miller Jr.; and four great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at Bellview Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Barry James and J.B. Abercrombie, with burial at the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of a daughter: 376 Frontier Drive, Laurens; and will receive friends at Kennedy Mortuary tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
