GATE CITY, Va. -- Rena France Templeton , 95, Route 1, died Sunday morning (July 12, 1998) at Ridgecrest Health Care Center, Duffield, Va.

She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, Va., and was a member of Tiptons Chapel Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orban C. Templeton ; an infant daughter Mary Agnes Templeton; a son, Jack Templeton ; a daughter, Betty Templeton Burgess; four brothers, Clifton France, Daniel France, Robert France and Kenneth France; and three sisters, Kate Hart, Norma Pendleton and Minnie Williams.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of the daughter, Okie Ervin, Gate City, Va.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Kingsport will conduct funeral services at Gate City Funeral Home (Gene Falin Chapel) at 7 p.m. today with the Rev. Claude Lane and the Rev. Riley Boy officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Kingsport is in charge of arrangements.
