William Donald Williams, Jr. was born May 14, 1923 in Hugo, Lincoln County, Colorado to William Donald Williams(1880-1963) and Myrtle Elizabeth Messer (1888-1960). The Williams Family had a large ranch in Hugo , Colorado. They lost it to the bank in the depression and moved to Missouri.

William Donald Williams, Jr. married Beulah M. Pippin, They had seven children: Jerry Donald Williams, Larry Williams, "Becky" Rebecca Williams, "Terry" Terrence A. Williams, Bernice Williams, "Connie" Constance Elaine Williams, and "Bill" William Joseph Williams.

On February 2, 1943, William Jr. joined the US Army at age 19. On July 20, 1949, he was Honorably Discharged from the service.

Sarcoxie, MO. - Willie Donald Williams, 72, Sarcoxie route 2, died at 3:20 am Monday at Oak Hill Hospital, Joplin, after a short illness. Mr. Williams was born May 14, 1923, at Hugo, Colo. He had lived several years in the Sarcoxie area. He worked in the construction business, retiring in 1948. He was a Protestant. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He married Beulah Pippin on September 2, 1942, at Carthage. She survives. Additional survivors include four sons, Larry Williams- Avilla, Terry Williams- of the home, Jerry Williams-Windsor, Calif., and Bill Williams-Searcy, Ark; three daughters, Connie Glick-Pittsburg, Kan.,Rebecca Roller-Sarcoxie, MO., and Bernice Williams-Winthorp, Wash.; a brother, James R. Williams-Carthage, MO.; 22 grandkids; and 10 great-grandkids. Graveside services will be at 2pm Wednesday at Avilla Cemetery. The Rev. Linda Pippin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Travis Horton, Bucky Gunner, Bob Williams, Lester Pippin, Earl Long and Dorse Pippin. Arrangements are under direction of Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage, MO. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
