Mrs. S. A. Baker died at her home in this city Monday morning after a sickness of several weeks. Mrs. Baker was housekeeper for Dan Mangus. She was also the mother of the late Mrs. M. G. Hudson. The funeral was held from the Congregational Church Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Osborne Cemetery. Susan Ann Johnson was born Feb. 18, 1834, at Alexander, Va., and moved to Ohio when two years of age. She came to Osborne County in 1877. She was first married to Hiram Thomas and to this union were born five children. Her second marriage was to Harrison Joy, and to them was born Francis Leata, the late Mrs. M. G. Hudson. She was married a third time to Benjamin Baker, a member of the Pennsylvania Colony after whom Baker School House and Cemetery were named. Deceased went through pioneer days in Ohio and Kansas and was a lady of many sterling and gentle qualities.
