He married Anna Marie Karth on Feb. 11, 1887 in Inslingen, Germany. To this union were born 9 children; Walter(1887-1887), Hannah Marie (1888-1967),Dora Rose (1890-1977),Helen (1891-1983),Mary Katherine (1893-1973), Carl William (1895-1994), Selma Lydia Gert (1896-197_), Ruth Minnie (1901-1982),& Lillian Birdie (1907-1984. In Kansas City, Missouri he was a manager in a machine shop and eventually the owner. He passed away Sep 24 1936 at his home, 5645 Virginia Ave., Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. His burial was in the Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery.
