Peter V.N. Case, 65, father of Anna Case, concert singer, died in a sanitarium here yesterday [Aug 5, 1925]. He had been an invalid for two years and was removed to the sanitarium a week ago from his home at South Branch following an apoplectic stroke.
Mr. Case was the possessor of a fine baritone voice and was known in South Branch as "The Singing Blacksmith." Besides his daughter, who is now in Europe, he leaves his widow and two sons, Lester and Stanley Case, who are New York businessmen. --Trenton Evening Times (N.J.), 6 Aug 1925, p. 2
