OBITUARY NOTICE: Iroquois County Times, article dated August 14, 1886. Excerpt, "... John John[s] died at the residence of his brother, Parsons John[s] on Thursday August 12, 1886, of consumption. John has been sick about two years but had been confined to his bed only during the last four weeks. He was thirty-one years of age and leaves a young wife and many friends to mourn his early death. ... The funeral took place yesterday afternoon; services by Rev. W. D. H. Young. ... The remains were taken to the Lyman cemetery. ..."
