BULLS GAP -- Rhoda Beatrice Simcox of Bulls Gap, died at Memorial Hospital yesterday evening after an extended illness.
Mrs. Simcox was a native of Johnson City and was the daughter of the late John D. and Rhoda Taylor Reeves. She was a niece of former governors Bob and Alf Taylor.
She was a teacher in Johnson City at the old Barton School and at Princeton School prior to moving to Bulls Gap in 1911. She was a member of Bulls Gap Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Fleming, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Albert Middleton, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Hobert Rice, Knoxville; two brothers, E. C. Reeves, Abingdon, Va., and John D. Reeves, Johnson City; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Sensabaugh, Knoxville, and Mrs. Roland Craig, Abingdon, Va.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Albert Middleton (Charlotte Irene Simcox) and Mrs. Hobert Rice (Edith O. Simcox) were step-daughters.

Officiating will be the Rev. Stanley Harrison and the Rev. Charles Ward. The body will remain at Morris Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 'til 9 p.m. Wednesday and will be taken to the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. with the following pallbearers: John Reeves Jr., Jack Reeves; David Reeves, James Vance, Cecil King, and jack Fox.
