Mrs. Van Dongen's Services Pending

Funeral services are pending at French Mortuary for Mrs. Peter Van Dongen, local resident for 30 years, who died yesterday in a local hospital after an illness. She was 89.

A retired school teacher, Mrs. Van Dongen lived at 1008 La Publona Road NW. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Retired Teachers Assn.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Richard Van Dongen who is in the service; three stepsons, Donald, John and Lawrence Van Dongen; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Darnell of Albuquerque and Mrs. Evelyn Spigner; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Renouard and Mrs. Bessie Lee Norris of Albuquerque; and six brothers, W. P. Johnson and Eugene Johnson, both of Cuba, Arch Johnson and B. B. Johnson of Mexico, Wiley Johnson of Moriarty, and Woodrow Johnson of Albuquerque.

VAN DONGEN – Mrs. Trixie M. Van Dongen, 69, resident of this city 35 years, passed away Thursday evening in a local hospital after an illness. She resided at 1008 La Poblana Road NW and is survived by her husband, Mr. Peter Van Dongen of the home; 1 son, Richard Van Dongen in the service; three stepsons, Donald, John & Lawrence Van Dongen, all in New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Darnell of Albuquerque and Mrs. Evelyn Spigner of Florida. Mrs. Van Dongen was a retired teacher, a member of the First Christian Church and the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Van Dongen will lie in state at the French Mortuary, 1111 University NE Sunday. Services will be announced. Mrs. Van Dongen is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Renouard and Mrs. Bessie Lee Norris of Albuquerque; six brothers; W. P. Johnson and Eugene Johnson, both of Cuba; Arch Johnson, B. B. Johnson, both of Mexico; Wiley Johnson of Moriarty; and Woodrow Johnson of Albuquerque.
