Joseph M. Nichols (1820-1904) who is buried next to wife Mary Cooper Nichols at the Cooper Cemetery, Beauregard Parish, Louisiana. Per the caretaker of the Cooper Cemetery log book, Joseph and Mary's son, Austin M. Nichols (my great grandfather), is buried in an unmarked grave in this same cemetery. The caretaker told me that Austin is buried in the 5th plot of Row I (letter I) of the old section of the cemetery. Neaby plots are: I3: John Broussard, I4: Lara Nichols Broussard, I5: Austin Nichols, I6: Jane Nichols, I7: George Stamps, I8: Jim Nichols, I9: Amanda Nichols (tall marker), I10 & I11: Joseph M.
