DOWNS, Stanley, age 66, of 10 N. Elm St., W. Carrollton, died Wednesday (Mar 27 1968) afternoon after a sudden illness. He was a self-employed carpenter and formerly owned Stan's Cafe in W. Carrollton. Survivors include his wife, Catherine L.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Helen Cahill of Largo, Fla, Mrs. Betty Powell of Trotwood, and Mrs. Hazel Monce of Elfers. Fla.; 1 brother Herbert Downs of Ontario, Calif.; half-brother, William Keith of Bellbrook; 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Swart Funeral Home, W. Carrollton. Rev. Earl Wachenschwanz officiating. Burial Evergreen cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
