" W. H. Anderson

W. H. Anderson was born in Alabama in 1851, was converted and became a member of the Baptist church when just a young boy. He came to Texas thirty years ago and had been in our midst most of this time. He died September 13, 1928.
The death of 'Uncle Billie' Anderson as he was affectionately called by everyone, marks the passing of another true Christian solider leaving with his friends and family a rich heritage in the memory and influence of his noble Christian life. He was a man of strong individuality, always concerned in the welfare of others but had his own connections and stood by them. He was greatly missed among his friends and church of which he was a devout member and a true friend.
His former pastor, L. E. Strickland of Waco paid a beautiful tribute to his life and memory Friday afternoon, September 14, at the Baptist Church in Gause. A large number of friends and relatives came to pay their last tribute to their much beloved friend. The floral offerings were beautiful.
Those from out of town to attend the funeral were: Mr. Boyd and daughter of Temple. Rich Barnes, Mrs. Anna Faubion, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Porter of Rockdale; Miss Ely, Mrs. Will Ely and Mrs. E. Y Ely of Hearne; Mrs. Knox Tidwell of Valley Junction; Mr. And Mrs. Homer Nabours, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Newton, Mr. Mitchell, Roy Law and Judge Gillis of Cameron."
