Passed away at the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington on Sunday, September 16, 2012 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Violet for 67 years. Father of the late Robert (Tamara) and Garth (Aranka Merrick). Loved grandfather to Tammy (Rob) Lamb, Janet (Michael) Wood and Ashley Wetherall (her Mother, Elizabeth Telo). Great-grandfather to Coralee, Laurie, Rebecca, Isaiah and Leah. Proudly served with the Canadian Merchant Navy during WWII and later in life he would be involved in the Canadian Merchant Navy Veterans Association (Hamilton/Burlington Branch 2). Bruce was involed in the community through his membership with the Royal Canadian Legion Waterdown Branch #551 for over 60 years and the AF & AM Waterdown Lodge #357 for over 50 years. His career was spent at Ford Canada where he worked 34 years before retiring in 1985.
