Marcille E. Wood, 80, Washington, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington.
She was born June 6, 1922, at Washington, the daughter of Henry J. Detmer and wife Elsie, nee Kansteiner.
On April 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Glen H. Wood at Ferguson.
Mrs. Wood was a member of the Washington Elks Ladies Auxiliary and served as president from 1967 to 1968.
She also was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 218.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Glen Wood on October 22, 2000.
She is survived by two sons, Mark G. Wood and wife Therese, Washington, and Tim J. Wood and wife Michelle,
Ashburn, Virginia; two daughters, Nancy K. Bader and husband Leo, Rhineland, and Ellen K. Kluesner and husband
Tom, Washington; one sister-in-law, O'Geal Wood, Palm Beach Garden, Florida; one aunt, Ida Holtgreiwe, Washington; nine grandchildren, Jase Wood, Wilson Wood, Jamie Trentmann, Troy Trentmann, John Trentmann, Andrew Trentmann, Timothy Kluesner, Elizabeth Kluesner and Margaret Wood; one great-grandchild, Alexander Trentmann; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 24, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Washington, with Rev. William
Schwab officiating.
Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
Memorials to St. Peter's United Church of Christ or Cemetery are preferred.
The Wood family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
