Amanda C. Fleer, nee Bueker, 96, Washington, died April 24, 1997 at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington.
Mrs. Fleer, the daughter of the late Rudolph Bueker and his wife Caroline, nee Witte, was born May 8, 1900 at Gerald.
She was baptised and confirmed at St. Paul's,Gerald.
On October 17, 1926,she was united in marriage to John fleer at the bride's home. They made their home north of Gerald on a farm until 1951. They moved to Washington where they resided until her death. She was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church and St. Peter's in Washington, where she was active in many organizations.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Henry, Julius, and william Bueker; one sister Minnie Gottenstroetter; and one great-grandson, Matthew Fleer.
Mrs. Fleer is survived by her husband John; a son, Elmer Fleer and wife Eleanor of Washington; a daughter, Nelda Wesselschmidt and husband Milfred of St.Louis; four grandchildren, David Fleer and wife Sandra, Daryl Fleer and wife Janet, both of Washington; Janet Wertzberger and husband John of Columbia, Gary Wesselschmidt and wife Terry of Bridgeton; eight great-grandchildren, Scott, Kate, Bryan, and Kim Fleer, Michael and Daniel Wesselschmidt.
Funeral services were held April 26 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Washington with interment in the church cemetey.
