Adelaide B. Bucholz, nee Vandegriffe, 77, Washington, died Sunday, November 8, 1998, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington.
Mrs. Bucholz, daughter of the late Floyd I. Vandegriffe and wife Clara A., nee Wittrock, was born October 1, 1921, at Owensville. She attended school at Washington and graduated from Washington High School.
On April 28, 1945, she was united in marriage to Bertram J. Bucholz at St. Mary's Church, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Mrs. Bucholz was employed as a clerk for PhillipTransit Lines and Gross Market in Washington.
She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Parish.
Mrs. Bucholz was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bertram, and one sister, Lois Joy Vandegriffe.
Among her survivors are two daughters, Carol Wagner, Union, and Deanna Maroon, Marshall, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Lewis "Gus" Wagner, Jr., Brian, Lynn, and Jo Wagner, Jason, Andrea and Michelina Minardi and Whitney Bucholz; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, November 11, at St. Francis Borgia Church with Rev. Mike Oslance officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The Bucholz family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
