Mrs. Elizabeth Swisher, widow of Albert Swisher, died at 12:10 o'clock this morning at the Reformed Mennonite Home, Manor street and South West End ave., from the infirmities of age. She was born June 27, 1831, in Providence township. Her parents were the late Joseph and Rachel Rockafield McElree. For some years during her early married life she resided in West Lampeter township, and for more than 18 years on the Frantz farm near Rohrerstown, and for three years in Rohrerstown before coming to Lancaster twenty-seven years ago. Her husband has been deceased twenty-seven years. Mrs. Swisher had been almost a life member of the Reformed Mennonite Church, having united with the church when a girl sixteen years of age. She had been a guest of the Home for the past three years. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Annie E. Armour, of Atlantic City; Mrs. Hettie A. Huber, city, and Albert M. Swisher, Rohrerstown. A twin sister, Mrs. Maria Weaver, of this city, also survives. Brief funeral services will be held from the home of her son-in-law, Christian S. Huber, of No. 535 West Lemon street, on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and services from the Reformed Mennonite Church on West James street at 3 o'clock. Interment will be made in Longenecker's Cemetery.
