Mrs. Marie Hopping, 73, RR 7, died Wednesday morning at Ball Hospital after an extended illness. She was a Rushville native who moved to Muncie more than 50 years ago. She was employed by Ball Corp. for 32 years and retired in 1964.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer R. Hopping; a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Rosemary) Burton, Muncie; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Turner and Mrs. Eva Dillahay, both of Muncie; two brothers, Homer and John O. Dailey of Muncie; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be in Parson Mortuary at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday.
