Mrs. Wallace Herd (Hurd) wife of Wallace Herd passed ways Friday morning December 29
(1922) at the Gooding Hospital after several days illness. Mr. and Mrs. Herd came here June last with their family from South Dakota mainly for Mrs. Herd's health. He purchased the barber shop and is making that his business. About two weeks ago Mrs. Herd became ill and has gradually failed. She was born January 2, 1883, married Mr. Herd in 1906, to this union was born six children all whom are living, 4 girls and 2 boys. Oldest is Miss Clarice age 15 and the youngest is 8 months old. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Yale, of this place besides other relatives in Dakota. Buried IOOF cemetery.
