Obituary: The Glasgow Republican Jun 30, 1910
Mrs Mary E Mentz, widow of the late Mr Ed H Mentz, died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr E H Binzel, in Bowling Green, last Thursday.
Mrs Mentz was born and reared in Dublin, Ireland, leaving there with her parents at the age of sixteen years, They settled in Colesburg, Ky., where she was married to Mr Mentz in 1867, later coming to Glasgow Junction where for many years kept a famous hostelry.
Mrs Mentz was 61 years of age and is survived by three daughters, Mrs Binzel of Bowling Green, Mrs Paul Mahoney of Montgomery, Al., and Miss Eugenia Mentz. Her son, Mr George Mentz, of Montgomery, Al., and an adopted son, Mr Harry Mentz, also survive her.
