Daniel was born on July 31, 1946, and joined the Marine Corps in 1965. He was in the Combined Action Program (CAP) during the Viet Nam War and retired in 1991 after 26 years of service. His awards included the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat V and the Purple Heart. For the last seven years he was the operational chief for Yellow Cab Company. Daniel passed away on Jan 20, 2008, at age 61. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Toshie Yates, and his three children Craig, Carla, and David. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of Sacramento at 7324 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento.
