Daughter of Thomas Isaac and Matilda de Brus, granddaughter of King of Scotland, Robert de Brus and Elizabeth de Burgh.

Wife of John of Lorn, or John Argyll, Lord of Lorn in Argyll, son and heir to John MacAlan of Argyll. They married before 1362 and had two daughters; Isabel, wife of Sir John Stewart of Innermeath and Janet, wife of Robert Stewart.

In 1358, King David II granted John and Janet the lordship of Lorn and other locations in Scotland, those formerly held by his great-great-grandfather, Sir Alexander of Lorn. John and Janet were granted the lands of Glenlyon in Atholl, until the King could grant them similar lands elsewhere.

Secondly, Janet was the wife of Sir Malcolm Fleming of Biggar. They were married by papal dispensation dated 12 July 1377 as Janet was related to Malcolm's first wife, Christine de Keth in the 4th degree on kindred.
