Born in Jersey City, NJ, in 1913, he met Cora Reed when he traveled to Jeffersonville, IN, to see a friend who lived across the street from the Reed's. A short time later Frank and Cora were married and she moved back with him to Jersey City. My father was born there June 4, 1936.
Frank was in the insurance business his whole life starting at 16. He worked for Commercial Union Ins Co in New York. Around 1950 the Nixon's were transferred to Columbus, OH, and a year later, to Cincinnati. There they remained the rest of Frank's life. He was a baseball fan (St Louis Cardinals even though he never lived here) and an avid golfer and the finest man I've ever known.
