Elvira is buried beside Noble Clayton Stockett, her father-in-law. She died at age 21, two years after the birth of her son, Homer Allen Stockett, Jr., and four years after her marriage to Homer Allen Stockett, Sr. (1905-1973).

Elvira's parents were Theophilus (Top) Pearre and Fannie (Francis) Mayberry/Mayfield Pearre. Both Top's death certificate and the Mount Hope cemetery book state that Top and Fanny are buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.
