Suggested edit: Sgt. George Ray Stephenson, Co. B, 107th Supply Train, survived the torpedoing & sinking of the troopship "Tuscania" on 5 February 1918 in the North Channel between Scotland & Ireland by German submarine UB-77. He returned from war aboard the "Virginian" in May 1919, listed as a corporal in the same unit.

On both voyages, he listed his father, John Stephenson, of Arlington, Wisconsin, as his next-of-kin.
